How to deposit and withdraw at live casinos

When you play live casino games you are playing for real money. Cash, not credit. This means you need to fund your casino account somehow before you can place a bet, which begs the question…how is this done?

How to deposit funds into your casino account

The simple answer is there are many different methods available to deposit money into your casino account and in the main these are the same methods used to make other purchases online. Credit cards like Mastercard and Visa are may be used. Debit cards are also a popular method. Bank transfers…ie from your bank account direct to the casinos nominated bank account is also a popular method.

Then there are the virtual wallet services and there are many of these…PayPal, Skrill (Moneybookers), Click2Pay, entropay, NeTelller, asiapay88. They way they all work is similar. You open an account with the virtual wallet service (eg PayPal), fund this account or link it to your credit/debit card or a chosen bank account, and then make payments to your casino account via this service. Sounds complicated but the process of opening an account with one of these services usually takes minutes, and once set-up deposits into your casino account are instant (or a matter of seconds).

The online casino that you have chosen to play at will guide you through possible deposit options and how to get set-up and complete your deposit as easily as possible.

How to withdraw your winnings

You play live casino games with a view to winning money, so being able to withdraw this money is obviously important. It’s also quite simple. In fact, it’s probably easier than depositing because you will already have a payment method with the casino in place.

The situation will vary from casino to casino, but generally speaking, withdrawals are simply be made using the same method used to deposit funds to your casino account.  If you funded your account using NeTeller, then withdrawals can be sent to your NeTeller account…same for Skrill, PayPal and credit.debit cards (although usually limited to the value of your deposit…additional winning will need to withdrawn using another method).

All casinos will payout via cheque and bank transfers, although receiving the fund using these methods may take a little longer.

Some things to be aware of

Different casinos accept different methods

Different live casinos support different deposit and withdrawal methods. If there is a particular method you prefer to use (eg maybe you already have a Skrill account set up) then make sure that live casino you choose to register with DOES support this method. A complete guide to deposit/withdrawal methods offered by live casinos are set out here.

Regional issues

Deposit/withdrawal methods supported by a particular casino will also differ by region. Again, check our casino banking page for which methods are available in the country that you are playing from.

Limits

Deposit and withdrawal limits are imposed by all casinos and these limits vary by method. Minimums are generally pretty low (approximately $15) and maximums are usually high enough not to present issues for all but the biggest high rollers. Typically very large transactions (over $1 million) will need to be processed using methods like bank transfer.
